With Morr Music also a German label, based in Berlin, organises a showcase at Waves Vienna.
Founded in the late 90s by Thomas Morr, the label publishes music, which shifts between intelligent dance music, electro and dream-pop. Moreover Morr coined the term plinkerpop – a genre which blends glitch synths with a sound portion of pop bliss. Generally Morr Music cannot be pigeonholed though, starting out with electronica, in the course of time artists with various influences joined. From ambient to hip hop to classical Indie-Pop – it’s all there!
With Fenster a Berlin/ New York trio, the latest signing to the label, is opening the showcase night and they make the best possible soundtrack for a Sunday morning after a night being feasted away. Following is B. Fleischmann, who was the first ever release on Morr Music. He derives from Vienna’s experimental electronic scene and his tracks often are blatant, political statements.
The Morr Music Showcase takes place Friday, 5th of October at the Jack Daniel’s Stage Fluc Wanne.
