Waves Warm-up: Dum Dum Girls

Everyone who is already eagerly waiting for October can now look forward to the 12th of September, because then the official Waves Warm-up with Dum Dum Girls, Dirty Beaches and Killed By 9V Batteries is taking place at Posthof Linz .

The warm-up will be opened by the Graz band Killed By 9V Batteries, project of multi-band-juggler Wolfgang Möstl, who will also be playing Waves Vienna with his band Mile Me Deaf. On the slacker/ noise band follows Dirty Beaches from Canada, who is not exactly what you expect a singer-songwriter to be. The Taiwanese mixes samples and rockabilly sounds to a unique sound cocktail. The US all-girl-quartet Dum Dum Girls who perfectly gets in line with bands such as Beach House or The XX with their jangly lo-fi-fuzz guitar-garage sound and shoegazer dreampop, will top off the evening.

A perfect chance to get in the mood for Waves Vienna beforehand.
