„There’s no doubt that JC Stewart can write a hit.” – Apple Music
JC Stewart is well on the way to his big breakthrough in 2020. His songs are the product of his own experiences with love and lovesickness, which break through in haunting confessions as well as in rushing hymns. With this he has already achieved great things. His early tracks like “Like I Did” and “Medicine” catapulted him over the 10 million streaming mark and he co-wrote “Hollywood”, a song on the debut album “Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent” of his friend Lewis Capaldi, which reached #1 in the UK charts and #6 in Austria, among others.
„Maisie Peters makes singer-songwriter pop with a purpose” – Clash
With over a quarter of a million streams worldwide and various celebrity supporters, including Taylor Swift, Maisie Peters is without doubt one of the brightest new UK talents, widely acclaimed as a modern storyteller. She closed the year 2019 with the release of her second EP (“It’s Your Bed Babe, It’s Your Funeral”) and a sold-out show at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire. After Maisie made a name for herself in recent months with the release of previously unheard studio session material, the founding of her own book club and a cameo appearance on Apple TV’s first own British TV series “Trying”, the prolific singer-songwriter recently released her single “Sad Girl Summer”.
Writer, producer, stylist, designer and creative director, it’s clear that Griff is a force to be reckoned with” – Vogue
Griff is a one-woman powerhouse, well-versed in production, songwriting and visuals alike, unmistakably endowed with her ball-horsepower and thanks to her “The Mirror Talk EP” with future-pop powers. On the one hand, Griff is the picture-book girl next door, a hard-working straight-A student from near Watford who recently graduated from high school. On the other hand, she radiates a wisdom far beyond her years, with songs that have a keen eye for the ups and downs of teenage years. She takes a multidisciplinary approach, which includes not only producing most of the songs, but also making her own clothes, shooting live visuals in her tiny home studio, or being involved in the creative direction of her live shows. It is this fearlessness (coupled with the hopes and fears of every 18-year-old) that makes Griff special.
The British rapper S1mba with Zimbabwean roots moved to Great Britain at the age of nine and later studied music technology there. His latest single “Rover” (feat. DTG) became a viral hit and #3 in the UK charts! The music video already has nearly 13 million YouTube views. S1mba toasted the #mulachallenge with matching dance to TikTok – so far almost 100k TikTok videos to the song! The newcomer from the UK mixes good-humored Afroswing with UK Hip-Hop and catchy hooklines. He himself says about his music style “I took my gospel influence, but I also listen to trap, to hip-hop and grime. So I infuse it together”.
