Attending a music conference for the first time can be exciting – and overwhelming at the same time. Between panels, concerts, networking events and industry meetings, it can be difficult to know where to start, who to talk to and how to make the most of your experience.
The Young Professionals Programme is designed to help you find your way at Waves Vienna.
Whether you're a student, an emerging artist, a future manager or simply curious about working in the music industry, the programme offers orientation, practical insights and a welcoming community to help you navigate the conference with confidence. You'll meet other young professionals who are just starting out and connect with people from different areas of the music industry.
What to expect
The Young Professionals Programme takes place from September 30 to October 3, 2026, and includes:
- Pro Pass for Waves Vienna
- Kick-Off Music Business Workshop hosted by mica – music austria, with the opportunity to meet the other Young Professionals
- Morning Check-In Sessions, where you'll meet experts from different areas of the music industry
- Panels and workshops that are especially recommended for Young Professionals
The Young Professionals Programme is your chance to get oriented, make new connections and get the most out of your first Waves Vienna experience.
How to apply
Places in the Young Professionals Programme are limited.

Die erste Musikkonferenz kann viele Möglichkeiten eröffnen – gleichzeitig ist es nicht immer einfach, sich zwischen Panels, Konzerten, Networking-Events und Branchentreffen zurechtzufinden. Wo anfangen? Wen ansprechen? Und welche Veranstaltungen sind besonders relevant?
Das Young Professionals Programme bietet Orientierung und erleichtert den Einstieg bei Waves Vienna.
Ob aufstrebende:r Künstler:in, Student:in, angehende:r Manager:in oder einfach neugierig auf die Arbeit in der Musikbranche: das Programm bietet Orientierung, praktische Einblicke und die Möglichkeit, andere Young Professionals kennenzulernen. Du triffst auf Menschen, die ebenfalls am Anfang ihres Weges in der Musikbranche stehen, und kommst mit Expert:innen aus unterschiedlichen Bereichen der Branche ins Gespräch.
